Connecticut DUI Arrests Up Sharply in 2013-2014 Holiday Season

As expected, the State and local police departments throughout Connecticut stepped up their traffic and DUI enforcement over the 2013-2014 Holiday Season leading to sharp increases in the number of tickets issued and DUI arrests.  Over the same period during the 2012-2013 Holiday season, a total of 18 DUI arrests were made and a total of 1,600 traffic tickets were written.  The 2013-2014 season increased significantly with DUI arrests totaling 38 and 2,319.
